Thanksgiving Desserts and Leftovers
Few things compare with the enjoyment of a holiday spent with friends, family and a memorable meal prepared on the Big Green Egg. All this month we’ve been talking about the different methods of cooking your turkey for Thanksgiving but today we want to show some of our favorite desserts to end the holiday meal and what to do with the leftovers (if you have any).Â
These recipes are festive, yet simple, and with the EGG, outdoor cooking requires so little effort that the host is free to relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

Did you know that until the icebox was invented that leftovers didn’t exist like we know them today. Before the 20th century most cookbooks would instruct home cooks to either pickle, cure or salt the remaining food to prolong its life for later use. Back in the day most pets would benefit from any table leftovers. Sorry Rover, today we have some delicious recipes for those Thanksgiving leftovers, maybe one of the kids will give you some turkey under the table but we all know it’ll be broccoli because nobody likes broccoli.
