Born and raised right in Nashville, Greg Bates is a true product of Music City … motivated not by the trappings of country-music stardom, but by the reward of a well-written lyric.
Recently, those lyrics sent Greg Bates right up the Billboard Country Music charts with his top 5 single Did It for the Girl. “The day that I figured out that you can tell a story with three chords in three minutes and just kill somebody emotionally, I was hooked,” says Greg. “The stories are what really drew me to country music. All I wanted to do was write.”
But lately, all Bates wants to do is grill … on his Big Green Egg, of course! A favorite of Greg’s is BBQ Dr. Pepper® Chicken. Give it a try, and you might start to think that he really Did it for the Grill!
