HR Coordinator

Job Overview: 

Big Green Egg, the world’s leading producer of premier outdoor cooking systems, is seeking an HR Coordinator. As an HR Coordinator, this role will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth functioning of our HR department. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a passion for HR and a strong ability to multitask. This full-time role reports to the Head of People & Culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
    • Manage and maintain a comprehensive HR filing system, both physical and digital.
    • Prepare and distribute HR documentation, such as offer letters, new hire documents, vendor contracts, and performance review forms.
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and other employee or recruiting  events.
    • Assist with the onboarding process, orientation, new hire logistics, and new hire paperwork.
    • Provide administrative support for HR initiatives and projects.
  • HR Operations:
    • Support the recruitment process as needed.
    • Assist with employee relations matters, such as addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
    • Provide support for benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and questions.
    • Assist with the performance management process, including scheduling reviews and tracking performance metrics.
    • Complete and submit Payroll accurately every other week,
  • Project Support:
    • Collaborate with the Head of People and Culture on various HR projects, such as implementing new HR policies or programs.
    • Conduct research and analysis to support HR decision-making.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • General HR Support:
    • Respond to employee inquiries and provide general HR information.
    • Assist with HR-related compliance, metrics and reporting.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR or a related field.
  • Payroll experience, preferred especially PayCor.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail,  accuracy.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • A positive attitude and a team-player mentality.
  • Passion for outdoor cooking, grilling and great food.

Working Conditions: 

  • The role may require frequent travel and flexibility in working hours, including weekends and evenings, depending on event schedules.
